Abstract

With the popularity of smartphones and tablets, it is increasingly common for users to use multiple devices in a short time or even at the same time. Moreover, the number of opportunities in which users engage in collaborative activities using mobile devices is increasing. Applications that are not designed to work in an integrated and distributed manner in different devices fail to provide support for users to explore, in different contexts, the advantages of each device in different contexts. The objective of this work is to design interaction techniques between users and distributed multimedia applications across multiple devices, which involve users engaged in a collaborative activity. The interaction techniques are designed based on three distinct usage scenarios, which will define the scope of evaluations to be held with end users. (AU)
