Abstract

The synthesis of marine natural products has been a challenge to organic chemists, since these compounds may have highly complex structures. Some marine natural products have cytotoxic activity against cancer cells, bacterial and fungal. The ieodomycins A-D have been isolated from marine bacteria cultures and exhibit antimicrobial activity. Others marine compounds biologically active are the comosusols A-D and comosone A, which were isolated from brown algae in 2011 and have cytotoxic activity against various tumor cell lines. Given the importance of studies of the structure / biological activity of organic compounds in the development of new drugs and the fact that ieodomycins comosusols A-D have antitumor and antimicrobial activity, respectively, we plan: synthesize natural products and by molecular modeling arrive to the analogues structures that may provide more pronounced biological activities. Will be conducted evaluating the biological activities of natural compounds and analogues in vitro and in vivo.
