Abstract

This project aims to distinguish and clarify the use of solar and wind energy in a decentralized way, in western São Paulo which has 43 municipalities, making a survey of the potential by measuring solar radiation (W/m2), wind speed (m / s), and direction (degrees), from a weather system that is in the city of Araçatuba, and is linked to FAPESP No. 03/06441-7, making an inter-relationship between generation and transmission of data collected and analyze these data, checking how has been the utilization of these renewable sources, solar radiation and air movement (wind) into electrical energy, knowing there are no official records of the use of these sources for electricity generation in the region, having shortage with respect to scientific research and studies. As a result, provide the development and formation of concepts of ways of converting these natural energy sources, generating a quantification of costs and viability in the face of environmental, social, political, and technical-economic order in this region looking for sustainable development.(AU)
