Abstract

This Project proposes the analysis of iconographic sources and, occasionally of the written ones in the Amarnian period (Ancient Egypt, 1353 b.c -1335 b.c), with the objective of outlining the changes in Aten´s trajectory and representation inside the Egyptian Pantheon, in view of evaluating the hypotheses of that concepts, expressed both in visual and written way, were responsible in solidifying the mythical and, somewhat, propagandistic bases, constructed to sustain a new way of treating the world, the pharaoh and the god (Aten).
