Abstract

This project assesses an anaerobic sequencing fed batch biofilm reactor (AnSBBR) with recirculation of the liquid phase for treating effluent from biodiesel production applied to the production of biohydrogen. The production of biohydrogen, conversion factor between produced hydrogen and consumed organic matter, stability and reactor efficiency are assessed when submitted to different organic loads, which will be modified according to affluent concentration, feed time and total reactor cycle length.
