Abstract

The objective of this research is to create an overview of the use of teaching materials in Geography classes of the public school system from Elementary school through High school "Josepha Cubas da Silva". The research will focus on the analysis of the teaching materials available at schools, as well as those made and brought into class by the teacher as educational tools. Having this scenario as a starting point, we expect to come up with teaching ideas and materials that will help with the learning process in areas where students experience academic weaknesses. The results from this analysis will not only be able to show a general aspect of the methodological framework used by the school's educational group, but it will also point towards new teaching alternatives by showing how to apply them in class and facilitate the teaching and learning processes.(AU)
