Abstract

BACKGROUND: To minimize psychosocial reactions of adults and elderly with hearing impairment, users of hearing aids, there is need for an easily accessible tool, to assist and ensure effective auditory training in order to effectively use.PURPOSE. The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate a web system auditory training of adult and elderly users of hearing aids.METHODS. The methodology will be focused on the population from 25 years, hearing impaired with mild to moderate users of hearing aids, that has computer at home and experience in web browsing. The sample project will be divided into three groups, two experimental and control groups. Participants in these groups will be randomly selected and will be equally divided in numbers of subjects, differing in the functionality of the web system.OUTCOMES. Will evaluate the effectiveness based web system by means of: monitoring the steps taken by the control and experimental groups database and statistical analysis of data collected. Through this analysis of the results is expected to improve the hearing abilities of this population and the effective use of hearing aids as well as the decrease in rejection of same. (AU)
