Abstract

This project aims to evaluate the environmental quality of the Caravelas river estuary- BA in the last century. For this, analyzes of sedimentological (grain size), geochemical (carbon and nitrogen content) and micropaleontológicas (benthic foraminifera) will be conducted. Some data are also used in parallel to achieve the proposed objectives, such as data from the chronology of the sedimentary column and data of the concentrations of metals and semimetals in subsamples collected. The material used is a core collected under the project "Productivity, Sustainability and Ecosystem Using the Abrolhos Bank," ProAbrolhos.
