Abstract

This project is aimed to evaluate the formability of interstitial free steels (IF) produced in the Brazilian industry, and will be held at the Metal Forming Laboratory of the School of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Due to the excellent properties of these steels resulting from the forming processes, its use in the automotive industry is promising, yet little used. In this project, we intend to perform tests stamping IF steel sheets of various thicknesses of two national suppliers to assess and compare their formability, in order to establish the limits of deformation without compromising the integrity of the stamped parts.
