Abstract

This project proposes to conduct an analysis of the main social and economic politics of Lula government. We will seek to identify possible correlations between this politics and the relationship established between the government and the different social classes in Brazil and the reception that people had of its performance of Lula. Thus, while the president encouraged the national and international finance capital, also promoted a series of measures that sought to meet the needs of the most impoverished sectors of the population as the "Bolsa Família" program, the main advertising of those political. From this precept, we will discuss the actions of the Lula government within the "neo-populism" and neo-liberalism, seeking a greater understanding of the first term in the context of the second.
