Abstract

This study aims at providing a reading and an interpretation of Wittgenstein's writings on the philosophy of mathematics in the manuscripts of 1929, which seems essential to any understanding of the development of his reflections about the status of arithmetic and mathematics in general. Moreover, we will try to analyze how this interpretation can be useful to understand both the structure and content of chapters X to IX of the Philosophische Bemerkungen.
