Abstract

At the end of the 1980s, Brazil was characterized by strong economic liberalization and decentralization of the state. Inserted in the current period of globalization, the territories seen in local crowding and mutual articulation of a way to remain competitive in the economic environment and also ensure greater autonomy for the site. The territorial governance in this context appears in the form of sectorial chambers, which is a characteristic institutionalization and coordination of actors in the territory. As this proves to be effective coordination and participation, composed not only by the private sector, but the state and civil society, the various forms of governance can contribute to the specialization of that territory and endogenous development, participatory and sustainable. In this project, the Sectorial Chamber of Grape and Wine of the state of São Paulo will be the object of study through the analysis of its structure, composition, difficulties, and challenges, and especially the strategies and policies being discussed by its members and the role that to meet the sector's competitiveness and territorial development.(AU)
