Abstract

The fractional of the precipitation which infiltrates the soil surface is responsible for the supply of the underground water system. However, the climate changes are modifying the rain behavior increasing its intensity and reducing the time duration. These changes and the antropic interference are reducing considerably the amount of infiltrated water in the ground. This work intends to investigate the water balance along a silt clay soil sample for different amount of water applied at the surface using lisimeter. This work aims the understanding of the infiltration and water retention processes as well as the water balance through the depth for different relationship between applied hydraulic head and time duration.
