Abstract

Trunk, pelvis and hip segments, more than anatomically close, present a regional interdependence, such that the alteration of function of one affects the function of the others. This can be observed in low back pain and femoro-acetabular impingement. The main goal of this project is to investigate the relationship between the three segments and specifically to evaluate if the proximal stability (spine) affects the amplitude of distal movement (pelvis and hip).To answer these questions, kinematic and electromyography analysis of tasks that allow to evaluate amplitude of movement (squat) and trunk stability (perturbation) in subjects with femoro-acetabular impingement will be performed.
