Abstract

This project seeks to understand the particularities of the professor's work in the context of the room of Intensive Program of the Cycle (PIC), whereas the guidelines of the official program for the educational work, the organization of the educational program of the teacher, the development and learning of the child, and the production of school failure. In order to do this it takes up the discussions on the work teaching staff and the factors that have intervened in the same (LOUSADA, 2004), and in its ergonomic view (MACHADO, 2007), articulating the development issues and the learning of the child within a historical-cultural perspective and the discussions about the failure at school (SAWAYA, 2002), (PROENÇA, 2002) and (PATTO, 1984, 1990, 1997), for, as well, to understand the relationship between the requirements that are present in the official documents that address the rooms of PIC, the criteria and procedures for evaluating and delivery to this chamber, planning and organization of the educational work, the expectations of the teachers, as well as the forms of participation by the pupils in proposed activities. The collection of empirical data will be carried out by means of the participant observation and interview with the teachers from the chamber of PIC in a school of teaching fundamental state schools in Ribeirão Preto, in addition to the examination of the official documents, which are reporting on the functioning of the chamber of PIC. Subsequent to the transcription and data selection, the analysis of documents seek to set out the linkages between the requirements of the official chamber of PIC, the teaching work (planning and educational organization), the expectations of the same and the "return" of the pupils of the PIC to the regular rooms, the production of the "success" and the "failure at school".
