Abstract

The research project "Amor in Horace's Odes" aims at the study of Love personified (Puer/Iocus/Cupido) in Odes 1.2, 1.19, 1.32, 2.8, 3.27, 4.1 e 4.13, which belong to a collection of four books, called Odes, which present a variety of themes and lyric forms. This study involves issues related to poetical genres in Latin poetry, which will focus on the relations between the presence of Cupid and aspects related to meter, subject matter and style of these poems. This study is also concerned with aspects of book organization, word order, sentence structure and figures of speech in these Odes. (AU)
