Abstract

There is time addiction has been a topic of discussion in several areas, either in development of effective public policies, is the discovery of new illicit substances, for example, the "oxy", either as objects of news, especially the police, which draws a great difficulty to reduce the abuse of drugs.Given this reality, the present work, from the question "why is it so difficult to get rid of drugs", investigate the circumstances involved in the period of abstinence and relapse thus preventing or influencing those patients who want to definitely get rid of drugs .To do so, will be a bibliography of the topic, and then define the concept of abstinence under psychoanalysis, and discuss the possible actions of the analyst with this kind of population.All the research will be done following the psychoanalysis linking theory with explicit clinical cases.
