Abstract

This project aims to research on "flow state", called by the University of Chicago psychologist, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, as a momentary state in which it is driven by nothing more than an intense concentration, yielding an absolute control what you are doing and responses perfectly attuned to the demands of the task. The musical practice is a task in which a high degree of concentration is required for the steady development of both technical instrumental, and musical technical. To this end, research on the state of flow will be directed to the area of cognition and musical performance, relating to its possible influence on the course direction, pre-programmed, the daily study of the candidates addressed. This study is proposed to be conducted among students of music / instrument and singing of the Art Institute of UNESP Julio de Mesquita Filho, enrolled in the year 2012/2013.
