Abstract

The aim of this research will be to evaluate diets for broilers containing soybean oil or beef tallow, supplemented with lysophospholipids and organic acids. Two experiments will be carried out, each experiment comprised of two experiments assays, one to evaluate diets based on corn and soybean meal and another to evaluate diets based on wheat and soybean meal. The first experiment will have the objective to verify the effect of adding soybean oil or beef tallow diets supplemented with lysophospholipids and organic acids on the values of apparent metabolizable energy (AME), AME corrected for nitrogen balance (AME) and on the metabolizability coefficient of nutrients. It will be used 448 male broilers Cobb chicks, housed in 64 metabolism cages in a completely randomized factorial 2 x 2 x 2, two fat sources (soybean oil or beef tallow) with or without lysophospholipids and organic acids, with eight repetitions. The second experiment will be designed to evaluate the possible interactions and the results verified between treatments from the first experiment (experiment one) on the performance and on the composition and fatty acid profile of the carcass of the bird. It will also be studied the reactions that occur in the organism, in the gastrintestinal tract and in the intestinal microbiota of birds, in order to understand the mechanisms that affect the digestion of nutrients. The experimental design is the same as the first experiment, using 64 boxes with 17 birds per experimental unit.
