Abstract

Although people with Parkinson's disease (PD) can use environmental visual cues to improve gait parameters, it has not been established the kind of visual information (exproprioceptive or exteroceptive) that is critical for the benefits of visual cues on gait parameters in PD. Furthermore, none has investigated how patients with PD use visual information to control foot placement on specific locations. Current research project proposes two experiments that will be carried out to fill these gaps in the literature. (AU)
