Abstract

The Infant Behavior Lab (Department of Physical Therapy, University of Delaware, Newark, DE), under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. James Cole Galloway, is a reconignized center of research in motor behavior of infants and children. PhD project associated to this process, which objective is to determine the effect of training on onset period of reaching in infants, was based on studies of Prof.Galloway, in particular to development the protocol of training. Thus, the objective of the stage will be to improve the study and knowledge, providing experience in academic partnerships, important to formation as a researcher. The plan of activities proposed consists: improve theoretical of study and your area; realize statistical analysis and processing all data collected; writing manuscripts with higher quality; participate in data collection and analysis of research in developing and; learn about different instruments of motion analysis, used in Infant Behavior Lab.
