Abstract

This project aims at presenting the outlines of our doctoral research project so as to justify the necessity that part of this project be developed in Germany. Our research project aims at clarifying Hegel's concept of the "speculative dialectic", what he calls the "method of philosophy". We aim to clarify this concept by confronting it with two other methodological perspectives: the methodology of two of the most important contemporary philosophical perspectives for Hegel, that of Fichte and of Schelling, who make important use of the concept of intellectual intuition in order to present their philosophies; and the paradigm perspective of the so called "exact sciences" - for Hegel's time the model of the "science of Newton" - which grounds itself in the "perfection" of the mathematical demonstration in order to constitute a universal scientifical method. The need that part of our research be developed abroad comes from the fact that besides Hegel-scholarship already seems to have well established itself in Brazil, the same is not the case in what concerns the studies of the philosophies of Fichte and Schelling, what makes it urgent that an up-to-date bibliography concerning these philosophies be sought, researched and communicated in Portuguese. The same is the case in what concerns Hegel's critique to mathematical procedure, a theme traditionally very little explored. (AU)
