Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality offered by different retreatment techniques, for this , it will be selected 123 human lower incisors, will be collected and will be instrumented with the rotary technique using the Bio Race system, and will measure the area instrumented with micro CT. Three teeth will not be filled and used as a control. The 120 teeth will be filling according the warm vertical compaction technique (system B). The teeth are then stored in 100% humidity and at 37 ° C for seven days. After this period, each group will be divided into three groups according to the retreatment technique: Subgroup1- Hand files associated with Gates Glidden drill; Subgroup 2- ProTaper Retreatment System; Sub Group 3 - D Race retreatment. System. Each of these techniques will be subject to use with ultrasonic or not, to compose two new subgroups, a and b. Micro-CT scans were taken after use of each instrument to detect root filling residue in the root canal. The retreatment time will record and the amount of debris extrusion will quantitatively determined. The roots will split, photographed and by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) will performed the analysis of surface covered by root filling remnants.
