Abstract

The objective of the present study is the modification of the surface of the Ti-30Ta alloy using hydrothermal surface treatment. The alloy will be obtained from the melting of titanium and molybdenum in an arc melting furnace. The ingots will be submitted heat treatment and cold forming such that discs for analysis will be obtained. For hydrothermal treatment, samples will be put in a container with 10 mmol/CaCl2 and submitted to autoclave. Then, samples will be treated and immersed in SBF (Simulated Body Fluid). Surfaces will be evaluated using SEM, AFM, contact angle. (AU)
