Abstract

The production of fine recycled aggregates has been recently investigated in order to reduce the porous cement paste content of this fraction and improve the particles morphology and expand the possible applications. However, the characterization procedures of these products are scarce and constitute a major difficulty in evaluating the efficiency of the mineral processing. The market expansion for recycled aggregates will depend, among other factors, of the establishment of specific characterization procedures and the prediction of its influence as an engineering material.Within this content, this study focus in establish procedures for characterization of the main properties of the fine recycled aggregates produced from different mineral processing and verify the influence of these parameters on mortars rheological behavior.
