We intend to study in detail two of the most important quantum communication protocols ever invented: the BB84 quantum key distribution protocoland the quantum teleportation protocol. Then we will study howto implement the teleportation protocol when the quantum channel shared between Alice andBob is no longer perfectly entangled. With these tools we will investigate,finally, ways to combine the main ideas contained in these two protocolsin the construction of new quantum cryptography protocols.
