Abstract

The regularization process of the organic sector passed for several changes since 1999, with three defining moments in terms of regulation of the sector (1999, 2003 and 2007). Now exist stricter legislation for production and marketing of products organic. It is known that the legislation for organic production is strictly rigorous, and difficult for many producers of implementation and maintenance, thus leading to the difficulty in the process of converting the system and hence the informal sector. Thus, the main research aims to analyze the survival of producers in organic certification system and identify the factors leading organic producers to give up the production of the organic certification system.
