The main objective of the research is to evaluate the potential energy savings in office buildings with hybrid ventilation strategies through computer simulations of daylighting and thermal energy performance of these buildings in two distinct climatic regions in Brazil. The method consists in computer simulations of thermal performance and daylighting through the softwares EnergyPlus and Daysim, respectively, of a standard office building, where this building characteristics will be varied in order to obtain the most influence on the economy of energy due to reduced use of artificial air conditioning (in the periods in which this is possible). With that you can obtain parameters that most influence the characteristics of the building contributing effectively in design recommendations for office buildings. Simulation results will be presented in a comparative table. Thus, as a contribution to the study of energy efficiency of buildings with hybrid ventilation strategies, this study aims to analyze by computer simulation what are the best strategies to be used in projects of office buildings, aiming to use the natural resources available, such as natural lighting and ventilation for the reduction of energy consumption.
