Abstract

The present project intends to generate relevant information that enhances understanding of the relationship between the passive range of movement and indirect power strength in Charcot Marie Tooth neuropathy. This is a preliminary step to the proposition of interventions potentially positive for the rehabilitation of children and adolescents with this disease. From the analysis of quantitative variables and functional, the impact of the lower limbs amplitudes of motion and the capacity of horizontal jump of children with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease will be investigated. Twenty children and adolescents, age range of 6 to 18 years, of both sexes, 10 healthy and 10 diagnosed with CMT of different subtypes will be included. The anthropometric data, goniometry of ankle and knee, and ability of horizontal jump test (Long Jump) will be obtained in a standardized form. Data analysis will be performed by SAS software (SPSS). Comparisons between the control and experimental group will be verified by the Student t-test and correlation between variables will be checked by the Spearman test.(AU)
