Abstract

Undergraduate research project that aims to provide further education in the area of particle physics to the development of interest in the area, learning of specific techniques for data analysis and modeling problems and prepare for a post-graduate in the field of particles physics. The center of attention of this student's study will be in the area of particle production in high energy collision, related to recent data from the LHC. The study will involve the analysis of simulated data using models and known events simulators, the development of proposed measures based on physics models and the comparison of results with experimental data. The proposal also includes the study of literature in the specific area of particle production, preparation and presentation of seminars exposing the work done performed and the development of algorithms of data analysis. This project will be developed together with the Experimental Hadron Physics group (HADREX) of the Department of Cosmic Rays and Chronology of the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute at UNICAMP, that has all the necessary infrastructure for the development of the project and also the participation of others students and researchers post-doctors with whom the student will interact throughout the project.
