Abstract

This project aims to characterize the phases formed on the aging of the Cu-9%Al-10% Mn-3%Ag alloy at different temperatures using microhardness change measurements with aging time, optical microscopy, and X-ray diffraction patterns. The results will provide information about the stability range of the martensitic phase produced on the rapid cooling of the alloy. It will also enable the characterization and identification of phases formed from the martensitic phase decomposition on aging at different temperatures.(AU)
