Abstract

Assuming the general framework of the Minimalist Program (Chomsky 1995) and taking into account some typological specificities of Portuguese, the project aims at searching a characterization of edge features that is able to handle successive cyclic movement in a local manner and also account for why A-movement triggered by edge features may license otherwise illicit cases of A-movement.
