Abstract

This project concerns the study of some aspects in quantum field theory, with emphasis in the renormalization group, supersymmetry, 1/N expansion and conformal invariance, that besidesits intrinsic importance in high energy theoretical physics possess interesting connections with statistical mechanics. These studies are organized in three parts according to: perturbative study of the renormalization group in supersimmetric theories; connections between statistical and field theory models; studies in theories with conformal and superconformal symmetries.
