Abstract

Our aim is to investigate the stereotypes/scripts regarding to the abortion issue ,comparing the way Spanish and Brazilian media (El Pais and Folha de S Paulo)addressed the topic in 2010 (Brazilian presidential campaign and Spanish approval of abortion); our methodology is based on critical discourse analysis (van Dijk) and new rethorics, or pragma-dialectics (van Eemeren).
