Abstract

This research proposal arises from the participation in research and extension projects based on the idea that jokes in the education of young children are "serious stuff." In particular, opens space for new systematizations directed to the place and value of play in the routine of six-year children, considering the expansion of elementary school up to nine years. The research aims to analyze the role of playing in the first year of elementary school and where this activity takes place in the daily routine of six-year children. This is qualitative research, whose path involves bibliographic databases of digital information and also field research to analyze, based on practices and narratives through semi-structured interviews, the conceptions that teachers of first-year have in relation to the act of playing in their work with young children. Besides the interview, there will be observations of their teaching practices, especially the moments of fun, in a Municipal School of Basic Education in a Sao Paulo state city.(AU)
