Abstract

Caregivers have become essential elements in the context of health care and important in the process of comprehensive care to patients. However, the attention of health professionals still prioritizes, in most cases, the patient rather than the identification of problems and psychosocial needs of caregivers. This is a descriptive, exploratory, cross-sectional, and qualitative-quantitative aims to evaluate the overall wellbeing of caregivers of patients in palliative care, attended by staff of the Family Health Strategy, in Botucatu. The study will be conducted in the primary care network of the municipality and the sample will be convenient. Thus, we used a questionnaire consisting of three parts, the first identification data of the participants, the second by General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ), and finally the third open question. Qualitative data will be organized and analyzed by adopting the strategic methodology of the Collective Subject Discourse (DSC). (AU)
