Abstract

With the fast digital evolution presented on the last twelve years, the ways of storing, listening, producing and sharing music were substantially altered. Examining how these new practices take place is trying to grasp what the digital world can engender in terms of memory and musical construction. Studying something that is still brand new, however, demands deep analyses, a new methodological and discursive attitude from the historian. This research aims at the analysis of these new practices of the universal collection of music along with the purpose of responding to the relevant issues concerning this subject. (AU)
