Abstract

The externship term is used to describe the experience of people that will study for a period in another country, with the goal of improving expertise and communication with other peoples, languages and cultures. The "The Ohio STATE University" offers interinstitutional externship with opportunities for deepening and enlargement of knowledge in areas of clinical and surgery of small animals by establishing new contacts for developing scientific and educational projects. The objective of externship in The Ohio STATE University (OSU), is to follow the clinical and surgical care, visit research laboratories, and to participate in ongoing projects in small animals. Additionally it will be used to improve skills and apply them as well in the PhD thesis (in progress), entitled "correlation between tubulo-glomerular alterations and histological degree of mammary neoplasms in bitches."
