Abstract

The main motivation of this research project is to develop a most suitable optical model for light scattering in soot. Once developed and validated, the optical model will be used to calculate the particle size distribution using inversion methods. The achievement of this stage will represent a great advance for the FAPESP PhD project n. 2011/00769-7 and for the academic development of the scholarship holder. (AU)
