Abstract The overall goal of this research is to explain and understand the relationship between the learning process, the work of the manager and the organizational performance of small business. The performance is essential for the company to remain competitive, but often the reality of small business performance is restricted to the financial results. Entrepreneur creates hes company for other reasons, although there is a financial need for the company continue to operate. Some undertake to maintain its value autonomy and independence; women undertake to have a part-time occupation, thus being able to devote himself to his family, and there are those who undertake to earn enough to raise children. Anyway one thing is certain, the performance of the small business is highly dependent on its leader, as there is a centralization of decisions. Given this dependence of performance towards their manager and the existence of business successfully and business that fail, it would be logical to ask the influence of the work of the manager. The way that the manager learns interfere in hes strategic choices thereby influencing organizational performance of the company. In competitive learning contexts becomes a differentiator and the leader is identified as the most important organizational resource because their human capital is what gives form and explores the opportunities available. To achieve the required results, this research will have a qualitative approach based on ethnomethodology as a framework for analysis, processing of the data will be qualitative and quantitative and developed in two parts: one part with collection and analysis of quantitative data based on Style Inventory Learning (Learning Style Invetory - LSI) David Kolb and part with qualitative data based on roles Mintzberg. At the end, we expect qualitatively and quantitatively understand the relationship between the work of the director, learning style and organizational performance in small business. Once we understand this relationship, it is expected conceptually develop a more detailed and adequate job of leader of the small business. | |
