Abstract

Cereals have a great importance in food, not only Brazilians, but also in much of the world's population. Among these stands out the rice. Therefore, to meet this need hitting demand both in quantity and in quality, is increasingly seeking increased productivity and agricultural techniques to practice sustainable agriculture, as the world population increases every year. The use of growth regulators with the goal of reducing the height of the stems and strengthening contributes to reducing risks to lodging of plants, thus avoiding undesirable losses in culture. Thus, the objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of doses of ethyl-growth regulator trinexapac in rice seed treatment and foliar application, aimed at controlling plant growth with reduction in the occurrence of lodging in rice lands. The experiment will be randomized blocks arranged in a 4x4 factorial. The treatments will be constituted by the combination of the application of ethyl-trinexapac seeds (untreated control, 1, 2, and 3 g of the active ingredient / kg of seed) and foliar application at the time of floral differentiation (untreated control, 75g, 100g and 125 g / ha of active ingredient), with 4 replicates. The work will be developed in the experimental area of the Faculty of Engineering - UNESP, Single Island, located in Selvíria - MS. Will be determined by the following: emergence, flowering and maturity, plant height, lodging grade, number of panicles per square meter, the total number of grains per panicle, number of grains per panicle granados and voids, weight of 100 grains, grain yield and milling yield.
