Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of training perceptual-motor capacities, allowing people with blindness, the achievement of autonomy in the areas: social and academic. This experimental study uses the technique of single subject design. The procedures adopted for data collection will count on the of two subjects diagnosed with blindness, randomly selected at schools in Presidente Prudente city. After the consent of parents and / or guardians, the subjects will perform some perceptual-motor tasks, which help in improving the techniques of Guidance and Mobility. The same will be selected via the Check List (Lieberman 2011). While the subjects perform these tasks, they will be evaluated according to their actions, i.e., their behavior in the course of activities. Thus, at the end of each intervention, each task and each review, we can say that the subject is able to perform the tasks independently. The interventions will be conducted individually twice a week. Each session will last 45 minutes. For data analysis, the results will be presented in form of graphs, which will establish relations between the two subjects, using the line of Multiple Base. These parameters will identify the relation of cause and effect of the training. (AU)
