Abstract

This research project focuses on the thematic Toy, whereas the conceptions and practices of teachers working in the first year of elementary school. The central aim of this study is: examine conceptions and practices of teachers about the role and importance of toy libraries in the education and cultural development of children of six years. The search will be bibliographic and field. For its implementation, some methodological referrals will be used, among which bibliographic survey, conducting interviews with teachers working in a Municipal Elementary School in Marilia - SP., with a focus on their knowledge about learning experiences of children from six years in play spaces called "toy" and its role in this teacher education in recreational activities. Different studies and research of different authors, and Cunha (1998), Santos (2008; 2009), Kishimoto (2000), Friedmann (1998), Bomtempo (1998), Wajskop (1995) have been performed in the academic context, with the goal of expanding the knowledge about the role and value of recreational activities in the development of children in the first years of life. In general, these studies show that when the child from the earliest age, participates in recreational activities, she shapes and hone various capacities typically human essential for its full development and for its success in school. With this defense, the prank, in particular, the makes of account, has been shown to be a valuable activity for the cultural development of children in the early years of childhood. (AU)
