Abstract

The historical process of education is related to the concepts built on ludic and playing over time and the impacts of the same events on the conception of childhood and humanity. Understanding that these processes are entirely linked to different aspects of society (cultural, economic, politics, etc.), history becomes very relevant to understanding the relationship between changes in the social environment and how humanity is built and related. Making a parallel with the toy library, an environment where one can observe and reflect on how social relationships take place, from demands that emerge from communities and in group living through ludic and play. And, thinking about this space throughout history or occupying the places of research, the way in which events are recorded is also decisive for social understanding and their directions. The research project proposes a mapping of the oldest Brazilian university toy libraries (since 1984 to 2020) and their conceptions about playing, promoting a historical analysis of their construction process and reflection on the space of the toy library and teachers formation. Establishing a dialogue between the university toy library as a space for playing, emerging a relationship with culture as a social factor and the formative aspect, in the construction of knowledge, in public policies and in the strengthening of social relations through playfulness, play and toy. The research acquires a qualitative character, using document analysis and interviews to achieve its objectives. (AU)
