Abstract

This project is about a participatory action research in the knowledge area of Media Education applied in a public school context. It is part of the set of actions and productions made by NIED - Center for Applied Informatics Education - UNICAMP (State University of Campinas), dedicated to the employment of digital technologies and its relevant languages in educational.The research object refers to a set of possible teaching approaches based on the use of the XO - platform hardware / software project UCA (One Computer per Student). In our research, such practices will be subject of a process for aiming at reaching a systematic methodological framework built in partnership with educators and students.Our objective is that the systematized referential can be an important support for curricular, interdisciplinary and transversal educational activities developed in schools participating in the project UCA.As a result, appreciable earnings are hoped for teaching and pedagogical for Project UCA itself, leveraging the resources employed, and also to the school system, aiming to increase the integration of technologies and medias to the curriculum adopted by schools.Finally, we intend that such advances could be replicable in other formal and informal educational contexts, meeting the demand for digital inclusion, which represents one of the main reasons for project UCA implementation as public policy.
