Abstract

This project consists in an investigation at the Dubuffet Foundation archives, with an especial attention to the personal correspondance of Jean Dubuffet, which was an renowned artist as a cultural critic during the years of 1940 to 1980. With this research, the ideia is to extend the theoretical field about two categories quite significant in the history of art: they are the notions of informal and art brut. Both one require a reflection that can articulate art reception, aesthetics, psychology and psychoanalysis. The research will be conducted, therefore, at the Dubuffet Foundation, which lies in Paris, during the period of thirty days. (AU)
