Abstract

The aim of this project is to elucidate the problem of absolute nothingness at the Kyoto school. It deals with investigating and understanding: 1. How absolute nothingness appears and what is its meaning inside this tradition; 2. The positivity of absolute nothingness; 3. The subtly diverse views inside the Kyoto School about absolute nothingness. With that, it articulates and presents 4. The approach made by the authors of Kyoto between absolute nothingness and the nothing of occidental tradition, in order to show that these authors are not only commentators of the occidental tradition, but that they also perform such comparisons to build a school, in the sense of building an own thought, precisely about absolute nothingness.(AU)
