Abstract

Modern organometallic reagents such as the turbo Grignard i-PrMgCl.LiCl have been successfully applied in the preparation of functionalized aromatic and heterocyclic compounds. However, their application to the preparation of substances of great medical interest, such as alpha amino acids, has not been properly studied . Thus, the main objective of this project is to investigate the enantioselective preparation of alpha amino acids from the reaction of optically active aziridines with aromatic organomagnesium reagents of the type ArMgCl.LiCl
