Abstract

This research wishes to find in the texts of Claude Lévi-Strauss (1908-2009) and Mário de Andrade (1893-1945) the ways that both of them construct the image of the city of São Paulo, without leaving to considerate that these images were intertwined by their different points of view and by their coexistence with certain intellectual circles, and as well by political conflicts that left their marks in the city by the decade of 1930. For the completion of such objective it is necessary that their professional and personal trajectories, as well as their meeting in São Paulo, are analyzed and further investigated. (AU)
