Abstract

This research intend to investigate the graphic interventions, as graffiti and pichação, in the constitution and organization of urban public space, in two regions or zones of São Paulo city, central (from Anhangabaú to República) and north (from Santana to Vila Nova Cachoeirinha), considering the individual and the collective dimension of perception. The perspective of social construction and constriction, particular of the capitalist organization, is going to be considered as an interfering element of the object's constitution, but not the only analysis' criterion and neither as a simple cause - consequence element. In this study of graphic interventions and its social bond with the urban public space, we choose for the ethnographic methodological approach, a way to establish the observation's base in a participative base, assuming the micro scale details as the initial point of view. This choice is a method of non consideration of macro scale and the structural dimension as an exclusive, determinant perspective, in order to associate the multiples perspectives and compose an anthropologic analysis.
